Answer

A category is a name that you can use to classify any Entity in the system. A Hierarchical Category is a system of categories in which any category can have sub-categories ‘nested’ to any depth, in the same way that directories or folders in a computer work.

If you say that someone is in a particular sub-category they will automatically be in all ‘Parent’ categories. So if you allocate someone to ‘Computer Services’, they will automatically be included in the Parent categories of:
  • Business Services
  • Services
  • Business Categories
